Your donation will go far toward assisting the Diocese of Klerksdorp, its priests, deacons, catechists, teachers and staff to spread the Gospel of Our Lord. He would like to see our South African story being a success story; not a story of disastrous failure! He is concerned about all those who criticise without putting forward possible solutions to the challenges facing us.

The Diocese comprises the following civil districts:

  • He was ordained for the Archdiocese of Pretoria as a Diocesan Priest, where he served as a Vicar General to Archbishop William Slattery, OFM.
  • He has spent his ministry working in Pretoria, Cape Town and Germiston.
  • He, like most of us, would like to be a part of the solution, not part of whiners and reactionaries.

He believes that co-operation and collaboration are the best tools for success and development. He, like most of us, would like to be a part of the solution, not part of whiners and reactionaries. The Most Reverend Archbishop Buti Thagale OMI, Metropolitan Archbishop of Johannesburg was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Klerksdorp on 26th April 2013. The Right Reverend Bishop Daniel A. O. Verstraete OMI, appointed Prefect Apostolic 9th November 1965 and then Bishop 27th January 1978.

His Lordship, Bishop Victor, known to many as ‘bro V’ or chicken road game download ’Mavee’, has been a Catholic priest for 27 years. He was ordained for the Archdiocese of Pretoria as a Diocesan Priest, where he served as a Vicar General to Archbishop William Slattery, OFM. He has spent his ministry working in Pretoria, Cape Town and Germiston. He continues to be involved in community projects. These projects are based in the Madibeng Municipality, Oukasie and Hartebeespoort.

Our Bishop

The Diocesan feast day falls on 29th June and its patron saints are Saints Peter and Paul. I hope this developing website will reflect something of the life of the Diocese with its great diversity of towns, townships and rural communities – sharing together the Catholic faith.
