Dr. Ziad Katrib is a highly trained facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a focused specialization in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. His practice philosophy is centered on the belief that nasal aesthetics and nasal function are inseparable, and that successful rhinoplasty must address both
Dr. Katrib was born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. He completed both his undergraduate education and medical school training at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
He completed medical school in the top quartile of his class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society, recognizing academic excellence and leadership in medicine
Surgical Training & Expertise
Following medical school, Dr. Katrib completed:
- One year of General Surgery internship
Four years of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Louisville
During residency, he gained extensive experience in:
- Facial trauma surgery
- Head and neck cancer surgery
- Complex reconstructive procedures of the face and neck
After completing residency, Dr. Katrib was accepted into a highly competitive Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in Latham, New York, under the mentorship of Dr. Edwin Williams, former President (2015–2016) of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
This fellowship provided advanced, hands-on training in:
- Cosmetic facial surgery
- Functional nasal surgery
- Complex facial reconstruction
Rhinoplasty & Revision Rhinoplasty Focus
Dr. Katrib is one of a very small number of surgeons in the United States whose practice is primarily dedicated to rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty.
- Performs 200–300 rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty procedures per year

- Functional nasal reconstruction
